The catalogue’s limit
Why a lookup alone fails
A dictionary can only tell you what a symbol means to everyone. That is exactly why it means so little to you.
Water = emotion. The unconscious. Feelings you are not facing.
True of everyone, which is what makes it useful to no one. You close the tab knowing nothing you did not already know.

One is a definition. The other is your own life, in your own words. It only reads that way because it remembers your other nights.

The library’s one rule
No omens. No predictions. Nothing here tells you what is going to happen. A symbol is a question about the life you are already living, never a verdict on the one ahead of you.
